2 months winter maintenance?

My bike has been immobile for 2-3 months, with freezing weather and nonstop rain.

Should I consider any maintenance before firing it up? Think I need to add something to the gas?

If this is a stupid question, please post appropriately stupid answers :D

Dont botherr with winter maintenance now
maintain the battery with a trickle charger, and befor you start it drain the gas out of the float bowls on the carbs and then refill them then start the bike.

Not planning on winterizing it, just looking for tips to restart it after having been sitting for so long.

I had no idea it would be so cold and wet. I've spent every week telling myself "this weekend it will be time to get the bike ready for the season!" and only this week has it finally come up above 50 degrees.

- Drain gas out of float bowls in carbs, and refill. Check.
- Learn what that means. Pending.

Make sure the battery is fully charged. I just started mine up after about a month of sitting. The battery seemed charged because it turned the engine over just fine, but I got no start. Turns out the battery was at that intermediate stage of charge, where it has enough juice to spin the engine, but not enough leftover to supply the correct voltage to the ignition system. After charging the battery, it started on the first crank.
