Nicotine patches, and my god the dreams.

Any of yall ever use the patch? And more importantly did you have night after night of weird off the wall crazy dreams? I've been on em for 3 weeks now.
Most of em have been entertaining/fun. but i've had a few nightmares mixed in too. Full color and stereo, fully lucid nightmares. (Knew i was dreaming, but couldnt change the dream). Bad bad nightmares. Finding my parents under an overturned truck in the middle of nowhere, and having to talk to em as calmly as i could while they died. Yuck. bad stuff.
And btw, it seems my subconcious is obsessed with flying zombie brain slugs from outer space.

Damnable sci-fi books.
On the other hand i spent last night on a f650gs

Yes and yes.
I had crazy dreams for about 2 weeks when I was on the patch. And yes like you said they were extremely vivid.
I didn't dream about brain slugs, but I got a healthy dose of very strange fish with human teeth, that came out of my brothers private pond that does not exsist.
Anyway, good luck with quitting smoking. It's a bich.

Aye that it is.
The brain slugs one was actually pretty good. Kind of like a first person action movie.
My favorites have been the riding dreams. Never rode any of these in person, but so far the dreams have had me on a ninja 500, a KLR 650, GSXR750, F650GS, and one really frustraing one where i kept almost getting to ride a v-strom. Go to toss a leg over and would get dream nagged to take out the trash...wake up and start the dream over when i fell asleep.

Some one told me once not to wear those things to bed....for the same reason you just mentioned....is that on the box?

Congratulations on quitting smoking. It's a decision you will eventually be glad you made.
It always gives me a warm fuzzy feeling when I hear of someone leaving the dark side.

The instructions do tell you to remove the patch when you go to sleep but I can't remember why. It has been over a year since I quit smoking and had to use them.

Mine say, May cause unusually vivid dreams, remove at bedtime if wanted.
jeeeze what an understatement. And it doesnt work either. They leave enough nicotine on your skin that you have the effect of the patches for a few hours after you take em off.
regular dreams>patch dreams as ww1 bi-plane is to f22 raptor.
Speaking of which another nightmare last night. /shudder Have you ever had a 22 foot iguana chase you while speaking in a british accent? jebus.

That sounds like Land of the Lost.

My girlfriend went through that. She had some truly bizarre dreams.
As a non-smoker, I was thinking about getting on the patch just for the cool dreams. I *almost* stole a couple of hers, but she would have noticed them missing.
