London to Donnington

Next year we are planning a trip to South-Africa and Mauritius with a stop-over in London along the way. Seeing as we will be in the country, I would like to time my trip around the Moto-Gp in Donnington of possible. So I have a few questions for those in the U.K.: How long does it take to get there? What is the best method of getting there? Have any of you ever been? How was it? Timing of this trip will be tricky, BUT it is worth a shot if it will work out. Hey Mashby! You out there buddy?
