I've been looking for a bike to replace my 99' Yamaha V-Star 650cc cruiser. I've been riding a lot at work lately, so I outgrew it fast

I want a bike that I can ride 2-up with comfortably, but still be able to have some fun if I were by myself. I've narrowed it down to two:

First is an '07 Yamaha FJR-1300 (145hp)

The Yamaha is about 14.5K out the door & the Suzuki is about $13K out the door.

damn...that Suzuki is really really sweet looking....

I like the fact that you went to 2 opposite ends. Sporty- tourer vs cruiser styling.....

I like 'em both but can only afford one

All I know is the M109R is a pig to roll around the shop. And the tires cost a mint.

That 'Zuki looks like Spuds Mckenzie.

If you're going to do a lot of 2-up, you may want to see just how comfortable (or uncomfortable) it is before you make any decisions. Also, how much is it going to cost you to get it close to comparable to a tourer?

Just my :

M109R = good bike. I wouldn't say so much for 2 up though.

I can't speak from experience, but i've sat on one that had the passenger pad on...and it looked tiny and scary as heck.

2 up, FJR. Plus it'll do 150. For when you need it to do that. Ha!

get the FJR.
the m109r looks like it was only made for one.
