yamaha dt 125 help needed

can anyone advise me on what can be wrong i bought a yamaha dt 125 second hand the engine has been rebuilt at the shop but the eninge cuts out when it gets too hot? do you think it could have a blockage in the rad or could it be the heat sender unit please help :frusty: many thanks for any help

How hot is 'too hot'? If it is actually overheating, its cutting out is saving your engine from serious hurt. If it's doing it at normal running temps, it could be a bad coil or something else in the ignition breaking contact when the heat expands it.

You got enough coolant in it?
