Some advice/info please

Hey all, first off, great forum. Lots of good info here.

Question for all the experts. Looking to get a bike this year, pretty much a new rider. I rode dirt bikes as a kid but that was over 15 years ago. Anyways, I've read a lot of threads, done some research and went and did some sit testing to see what was comfortable to me. I thought I had decided what to get, a Suzuki sv650s. As I was sitting on it and trying to decide if it "Fit" me or not I was pointed to the Kawasaki z750s. Does anyone have any advice in this. I also took it a step further and saw Yamaha has the FZ6, which I know nothing about.

I'm not particulary concerned whether it's new or used as long as it's in good shape. The SV650s is VERY difficult to find used. Based on what I've read it's a great fun bike thus the reason it's hard to find. The Z750s is new this year so there aren't any used out there yet.

I know a lot of people recommend a smaller bike to start, and that's cool, I take all opinions into consideration, however the ninja 250 is too small. Sat on one and felt like I was scooting on my butt along the ground. Want to stay away from the katana and Suzuki GS as I don't want a full fairing bike now. My main dilema is....I like the looks of the SV the best, however the Z750s is the more comfortable. From the reviews I've read the 750 is also more docile, even though it's a larger cc bike. I guess at this point annd time any input would be appreciated.

If it's more comfortable go for it. You're planning on spending a substantial amount of time there, it might as well be as enjoyable as possible.
