What does "blipping" the throttle mean?

It means revving it real quick, and then letting it drop back down. So just a quick twist and release...

you don't have to let the rpms fall back down though, I blip the trottle when I downshift, up to say 5000 and shift at the same time letting engine drag do its thing.

Blip means raise and then drop the rpms.
