advice about a rally

I'd like some advice about a rally please.
I'm planning to go to the ROT next month. It's the biggest rally in TX.
I've only ridden in 2 group rides so far and they were little groups. This thing is going to be huge. And I've heard it's hilly and curvy there. I'm used to flat and straight. The thought of going on hilly, curvy roads with tons of other people makes me very nervous. Can you think of anything I can do ahead of time to be more prepared?
Also I have to learn how to load and unload my bikes on a trailer between now and then. My husband has talked me out of just riding down even though I feel rather silly going to this with my bikes on a trailer. My friend and I are going, my husband is not going. I also have to be able to tie them so they are safe. Is there any way to tell me how to do this stuff?
I've been trying to practice but I don't think I'm learning much. Except maybe that 750s are very heavy.
