I am looking for gas milage on this, what should the fill-up interval be? Also i posted this before the yamaha forum with one response, how is the jardine oil kit? I had it installed by the dealer, any oil filters work better than others?
They are calling for mid 40's next week i think i am getting that itch, but i want to make sure there is no rock salt on the road!

Hey,
I cannot comment about the relocation kit. The mileage on my 2008 1100 classic is getting 47 mpg and I am going to approx 160 before hitting reserve, and I weigh 320!

This bike is F@#$ing awesome. I was planning on buying a Shadow 1100 but when I sat on this bike it screamed "you are my new owner and you want me and I want you!" I have put a Firehouse customs drivers backrest, 5" floorboard and control extenders, removed the rider seat, put on a crome luggage rack on the fender, Mutazu hard bags. and this bike fits me like a glove and everytime I ride it I feel like I am becoming one with my bike

kinda wierd huh?

I have a 2000 and I average about 45 mpg on the highway. I usually stop for gas approximately every 150 miles and still have a good bit of reserve.

My 06 V-Star 1100 Custom has less than 7200 miles on it as of today but the gas mileage while running plus grade gasoline averages almost 43-45 miles to the gallon. I usually will fill-up at around one hundred fifty miles, any further and I'll need to open the tank to the reserve.
I have the "Barons" oil relocation kit and I just can't say enough good things about it. My oil pressure shoots up to 40-45+ lbs during the 1/3 choke & warm-up stage and then drops back down under 20-15 lbs at a warm engine idle speed of about 900-950 RPM. By the way, you may want to invest in a good oil pressure gauge too, I bought mine from SS Custom Cycle, it came with everything you will need to install in about thirty minutes for less than $150.00

I've used the Barons and the K&N performance (KN-303C) gold oil filters, haven't had any issues with either one of these.
