MX book

I like to get a MX book as a "How to get started" for my son and myself. Could someone point us in the right direction? He's 11 years old now so racing may be off until he gets enough seat time measured in a year or so. He's also 4'8 tall.
I've had a crusier and just got a new one. So he's realing getting the itch, so I'd like to start him out properly due to his age, inexperience, and size.
Any thoughts in general or beginners books would be of great help.
