Hey guys, I just got my Honda CB 650 1979 yesterday. I inspected it, and it started and ran very well. I took it out for a good hour or so, worked great.

The problem
I woke up this morning to go to school, and blahhh... Blahhh... Eventually, I pressed the starter and nothing happend at all. I can let the bike sit for a while to get the blaahhh, blaaahhh back.

Now, I was in the garage, and I noticed some gas leaking, and I also noticed a black tube on the ground. The ones from under the gas tank. I'm missing two in total. I have one that I can reconnect, and not sure where the other one is. Theyre about 10cm long, and don't know what to do!

You'll probably need to get the manual for your bike. A google search should show you some places that will sell it to you for cheap. If you live in a big city, one of the larger libraries may have it, too. If you want to fix it sooner, do some searching for schematics or fische on your bike, you might find a diagram that tells you where the hoses go.

Once you have the book, it should explain where each of the hoses go. You'll probably need to remove the tank, make sure all your hoses go the the right place, go to prime for a few seconds, and try to start it again.

Try to figure out why the hoses came loose. You may need to replace them or tighten the connections.

I know next to nothing about your bike, so I'm sorry I can't be more specific. Hopefully someone smarter than me can give you some details.

Turns out, those hoses are just carberator overflow. There was gas every where because my battery was dead, and I was trying to start it. I pulled my car in, gave her a jump, and vravroom! Back to life.

I'll head to Crappy Tire, and pick up a new battery.
