seat cover for hot sunny days?

I commute on my bike and there is no shady place to park it at work. So the black plastic seat bakes in the sun and gets up to about 1000F. Does anyone sell small covers that just go over the seat -- one I could use just when it's parked -- to keep it cool? Anybody try making something like this? I've seen the 1/2 covers that cover the entire bike but would prefer something smaller. I'm tempted to buy some reflective material, or maybe Tyvec, and make one myself. Just attach some hooks that can clip to the bottom of the seat.

Would probabyl have to jury rig something. Would this work?
Bring a bottle cold water from inside, dump it on your seat and carry a piece of towel to dry it off? if its only when your parked for work.

Living in the desert, this has always been a problem for me. Particularly in the days before I had a garage to park in. When it's 115 degrees in the shade, it can be pretty ugly trying to sit on a bike that's been parked in the sun for more than a few minutes. My solution was a simple sheepskin seat cover. Something like this :

I used a simple pelt that covered the front half of the (2 person) seat and it worked great.

Maybe this would work, could you buy the reflectors for a car windshield and cut it, put gromets on the sides and tie it to the pegs or a small bungie? Just an idea

My idea involved laminating tinfoil in clear sticky back plastic, and a bungee cargo net... But the sheep skin seems a better solution

Yeah. You can pick them up in any KMart. They're called towels. Work really well.
