Of helmets and chinstraps
Does anyone else find that their dang helmet chinstrap chokes em? I've Always had a thing about stuff on my throat anyway. T-shirts, Jewelery, hands....
Think some extra padding on the strap itself might help? do they make a helmet with an actual over the chin strap? Wore plenty of those playing football, they dont bother me at all. Or am i just a dufus thats been buckling his helmet on wrong all this time?

I'venever put on a helmet where the strap rests against my throat... it always went across my chin. Hence the term chin strap. I don't like stuff pressing against my throat though, so I can understand the aversion. Do you have the same problem with all helmets? Or just the one you have now.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

all helmets, er well to clarify, all 3 that i have no. One gmax 14x snowmobile helmet, one fulmer fullface, and one 3/4. it generally goes say...an inch back from the chin. not actually on the throat. but just touching that little area on the bottom of the jaw.
its not tight, i can fir 2-3 fingers under it. just the physical Touching there makes me feel like im choking.
eh guess ill just deal with it.

My wife has the same problem. Hates anything around her chin area that feels like it is choking her. But I implore you and her to keep your chin strap on and firmly fastened. Your helmet cannot help you if it is knocked off of your head during sliding or impact.
