2007 CBR1000RR Repsol Decal Issues
2007 CBR1000RR Repsol Decal Issues
What would happen to the finish on the plastic if I removed a Decal? I need to remove the Orange Repsol tank decal to make room for my Nicky Hayden signed championship decal. Honda put two safety stickers on the tank instead of the one in their pictures and now the orange repsol sticker is too close to the seat for the Nicky Hayden Decal to fit in its location. And where can I get a new orange repsol tank decal?

Well, depending on how old the bike is, when you remove the stickers, you'll likely see a change in color from where the sticker was from the fading that didn't happen under the sticker. Some manufacturers put clearcoat over the decals, so you might want to make sure this isn't the case on your bike before you try to take the stickers off.
A hair dryer and Goo Gone will help with the sticker removal. Some suggest fishing line. Do a search for the details on this technique.
I have no idea about where to get new decals.

The bike is a 2007 Cbr 1000 rr repsol edition. I had to put on the decals myself because the dealer didn't. I should have removed the safety stickers before applying the orange tank repsol decal. I want to know where I can get another orange repsol tank decal. I'll ask the dealership. Thanks.
