Hello all. I just bought my first bike a few days ago! I got a Yamaha Virago 535.

I had lesson # 2 today. My boyfriend is teaching me on his Ninja 250. So far so good, and I am having a blast!!

Welcome to the forums...

The Virago is a great bike and really user friendly. , I love your shorty pipes. I'll be selling my Virago this spring.

Great choice for an entry level bike. Enjoy our community. You will find lots of info in the beginner biking area.

Thanks! I think its a great beginner bike (looks nice too, and was cheap). I fit really well on it, I am 5'7. Im learning on a Ninja 250 , today was my 4th time going out on it. I am in loveeeeeeeee :)! I didnt get out of first gear, but that is okay. Tomorrow we will go to a larger lot, and I will learn gears. Turning seems tricky, but I did lots of figure 8's today and now feel better about it! Luckily I am great at driving a stick shift, and can ride a bicycle.

Hey hey, I have an XV535 too. Great little bike.

If you don't have the service manual, you can pick up the Clymer cheap on eBay and I might be able to help you out with the Haynes manual.

BTW, saddlebags are a pain in the butt.
