Hey guys, I need a new starter clutch for my bike. Pro cycle wants 1200 to do it, and a backyard mechanic wants 300 to do it.
Do you think it's easy enough to do myself? I don't know a whole lot about bikes.

$1200!? Holy hell!
What kind of bike is it? It's super easy on my bike.

It would really help for us to know what kind of bike you have.

Do you have a shop manual for your mystery bike? That'll be your best guide. If you can read through the procedure in the manual and get a good idea of what you need to do, you stand a good chance. If you read it and get the impression you've just finished reading a novel in Swahili, then probably not.

Hey sorry lol, I have a Honda CB650 1979
I found a backyard mechanic who will do it for less than 300. That fair?
Im really not a bike or vehicle nerd, so I dont wanna break anything. I'm also told that I may have to take the engine apart if I screw it up.
