Turbo'ing my R6

Hey guys, just wondering about this. I want to turbo my 2005 Yamaha R1, but I don't want to spend a ton of money. I think I could use some pieces from my buddy's Mitsubishi Eclipse, like his T-25 and bypass valve, and maybe some piping. Do you think the R1 could spool up the T-25 with no problems?

Yeah, it's fun to dream.

Cheap turboing....? Even if you find a free turbo (I don't know the specs of a T-25, but since the capacity of the donor car is likely at least twice that of your R-1, it is probably too big for the bike.... but I'm not sure by any means), you still need to get an exhaust system to feed it made up, and then run tubing into the intake. And you need to feed it more fuel, so a Power Commander or similar will be required, and some dyno time to set it all up.
That sorta eats up 'cheap'....

I don't have the specs on the T-25 and I'm too lazy to look them up at the moment, but here's a quick and dirty list of things you'll need:
* custom exhaust header (to turbo)
* custom intake tubing to airbox
* possibly a custom airbox to handle the pressure
* adjustable fuel pressure regulator
* possibly upgraded fuel pump to handle the increased fuel need
* aftermarket ECU to handle the massive change in fueling requirements
* a lot of time on a dyno to get it tuned in right to not grenade your engine
"Cheap" left the building at the second step.
