I'm french and with some friends we would like to do a long trip in the rocky moutains and i have questions :
- what is the best season ? Our 1rst intention is to do the trip on september 2008.
- is-it easy to find economic hotel or motel with no booking in advance?

I am not from up north, but I think that September is a little late in the year for a bike trip in the Rockies. Riders from the North will give you better information than I can.

Early September would be good. Later September can be iffy.
