I am looking at buying a new honda. Is the 450 too much bike for me? I weigh around 200lbs and have moderate experience on a bike(it has been about 10 years since I have owned a bike). A coworker is telling me that the 450 is too big for me and that I should get the 250, but I don't want to get the 250 an regret not getting the 450 due to lack of power. What are the biggest differences between the bikes? Any advice?

It depends on your abilities, to be sure, but neither bike is going to rip your intestines out your bunghole just by virtue of it's power. If you have the skill to ride a high performance off-road bike, either machine is a good choice.

I personally like having more than enough power so I would go for the 450, but the flickability of the 250 can be very satisfying too.

Thanks for the info. I think I am going to go pick up the 450 tonight. After riding it I think it is the bike for me.
