Thinking of buying a mesh jacket. Are they worth it? Any suggestions welcomed.

Loonette and I have both owned a few Phoenix Joe Rocket jackets. She also owned another women specific Joe Rocket mesh jacket. They have been great in very warm weather, and I would recomend them.

if you like your skin...a mesh jacket is great in hot weather....can not beat the protection! Especially when you compare it to not wearing a jacket...maybe only a t-shirt!

I got one. They are great for that hot summer riding Though I admit that on the hottest days I don't even wear that. I'm so bad.

I got an inexpensive Alpinestars Air-Flo jacket from NewEnough.com
Great jacket. Good protection where you need it, lots of mesh where you need that instead. The armor is very low-profile and really stays where it should.
Awesome jacket. All black, too. Looks sweet.

I got a mesh jacket for christmas. I haven't had it out on the bike yet, but it sure doesn't feel like it has much of anything for protection. I suppose it would be good if I landed on my elbow or shoulder, but I don't expect it to hold up well on the non armored areas..

I have a modular Cortech GX-Air. I love it. Mesh and armored outter layer with removeable rain and thermal liners. I've worn it in temps from 30 to 90 degrees fairenheit. The rain liner works excellent as well. Just need to find a pair of rain pants that are as good as the jacket.

I have the phoenix. I do like it. My b/f adores his, but he overheats when he looks at sunlight.
