02 919 Tire & Chain Recommendations?

#1 Unread post by jeff_connors »

My son's 919 with about 15k miles on it needs another chain and tire. Any recommendations for these and where to buy them at?

OEM style chain and sprocket ( www.ronayers.com or www.bikebandit.com or your local Honda shop) and stock replacement tires. Those are Michelin Pilot Roads, I believe. Ron Ayers has great prices for tires.

Thanks for the reply. I went to bikebandit and as always, navigating their site takes more patience and energy than I care to expend. I will check on ron ayers.

You are in Newark? Call the Iron Pony in Columbus.
I would be the old, slow guy. Just let me know where you are going and I'll try to get there before you leave.

Bikebandit has an "online helper" it'll open another window and set you up with an instant message conversation with a Bikebandit employee. They'll find all the parts you need for you, and give you links.

They did that for me about a nine months ago when I was looking for a chain/sprockets.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
