Hello, all.
I've posted a message at the New Biker's area but thought I'd introduce myself better here.
Just got myself a 1983 Honda Ascot FT500. Signed up for my class to start in June. I'll admit that I've been cheating a little bit (legally, of course) and goin' on a couple of short rides. Wow, have I got it bad!
Anyhow, If there's anyone near the Boise area who'd want to go on some short rides with a beginner, I'm looking for the best roads.

Welcome, Chris! Glad to hear you signed up for the class, that's the smartest way to go. Good bike to start on, too. Be careful, wear your gear, and most importantly - HAVE FUN!!!!

Welcome to the boards!

I am so glad to hear you are taking the course. Do yourself a favour and try not to ride too much before your course because you don't want to start with bad habits. The course will teach you how to do everything right (in the safety sense).

Be careful in your starting years, but most of all HAVE FUN!
