Hi, I'm Tim (IcyHound's other half). Been lurking here for a while, figured it was time to say hi :)

I'm riding an '07 Kawasaki Ninja 500 (yellow) and having a great time! Started out riding mopeds and a Kawasaki 125 something or other about 15 years ago for 5 years then stopped riding until IcyHound and I took MSF this past March.

Welcome choccy. 800 miles in a month? That's some good riding you have been doing. :)

Enjoy the forums.

Yeah, I dunno how.. sure doesn't feel like I did all that, but that's what the ODO reads and it started at 1 mile and that was at the end of March

I guess it helps that one round trip home -> fire station -> work -> home is close to 100 miles :)

You need a closer posting. When my Dad was a firefighter he probably never went further than ten miles each way.
You live in the sticks?

Yeah, moved out to BFE. 10 acres of forest beats a townhouse on a postage stamp in boring suburbia :) It's 30 miles to the station, I'm a volunteer (actually, on duty right now.)

The location is great for riding though.. the mountain road has bikes (both motor and pedal) up and down it all day long.
