My kill switch does not work and I think it's because I cut a wire while I was replacing my speedo.

I see kits everywhere but I can't see any manuals or instructions on where the wires attach..

Find the two cut ends and solder them back together.

been there done that. I can't find the two severed wires to attach together. I'm thinking about just buying a new kill switch kit for about $10 and installing it myself. Do you know where the wires end? I've tried tracing but I cant see where it ends.

How can you trace it if you don't know where the end is?

Well on my bike there are two wires that come out of the kill switch. I meant I know where the two wires from the kill switch are but I don't know where the other two are.

The wires you cut, glue them together again.

Edit: no not with glue, but solder like Sev said. Solder is like wire glue.

Dohan, go to the auto parts store and get some but end connectors. You also need a crimp tool for the but end connectors. Strip about 1/4 inch of insulation from the wire, place the connector over the wire and crimp it to the wire. do the same to the other piece of the wire to connect them together.

How did you lose the other two ends?

And why would you cut them in the first place?

Any "new" switch that you buy is going to require that you hook it into where the old one was. So you're going to have to find the old wires anyways... might as well start looking for them now. And no we can't tell you where they end up, other then they wander into the wiring harness at some point.

Well that didn't work. I crimped together the two cut wires but nothing worked! I went back to the beginning and I cut all four wires coming out of the electric starter/kill switch buttons. I found out that two wires are for the ignition and two are not. I tried crimping together almost every possibility and to my dismay, none of them activate the kill switch! Ahhh Im so frustrated! Any suggestions?

So... you found the ends that you cut... and crimped them back together?

What did you use to crimp them? And did you strip the wires first so that you could make a connection across the wire itself and not the insulation?
