I have a 1997 KZ-1000 Police bike. It has a small fuel tank (2.5 gallon I think), but is otherwise built for the long haul. I'd like to be able to go farther than 100 miles or so on a tank.

Does anyone know if there's a way to get a 5 gallon tank that will fit this bike?

You could try to find a tank from a civilian KZ1000 or see if a tank from a Concours will fit. The Concours tank is 7.5 gallons.
