I read that a couple days ago, and yes, it gives me the willies.
A dog had his chain reduced one link at a time, every few days, until his chain was so short he could barely move. He never resisted because he was conditioned to the loss of his freedom slowly, over time. Are we in this country becoming like the dog?

The idea of any kind of insect living in my ear gives me the creeps.

I didn't watch the video, did it say how long the spiders were in there?

I had a spider in my ear, but my babel fish ate them.

I'll bet a lot of folks on this site aren't old enough to have that particularly gruesome "Night Gallery" episode tattoed forever on their brains.

In short : A man plots to put a bug called an earwig into his wife's lover's ear. The bug is supposed to eat it's way through your brain and exit through the other ear, causing weeks of excruciating pain and often death. By chance the earwig ends up in the man's ear instead of the lover's ear. After suffering through the agony, the earwig comes out the other ear. The doctor then informs the man that he identified it as a female that had probably laid eggs in his brain.

Night Gallery was a great show, until the started up with all of that "Sixth Sense" psychic crap.

flyn, I remember a particular old movie where some dude placed a maggot worm looking bug thing in a guy's ear in order to...err, maybe it was eat his brain like the one you're talking about. The guy was screamin bloody murder as the bugworm slinked its way in. That movie freaked me out!
