Ok, get your minds out of the gutter, unless you just want to join me there..hehe.

Tires.

I am getting to the point where I need to replace atleast the front tire on my bike. The tire that is on there now is a Dunlop 120/65ZR-17 D207F. For the life of me I cannot find that tire anywhere. From what I have read Dunlop has discontinued this tire for the Dunlop Qualifier. The only size this new tire comes in either 120/60ZR-17 or 120/70ZR-17. Can I put either one of these on my bike or do I need to stay with the current size.

Since Dunlop does not make the size I need anymore, I have been looking at either Metzeler Sportec M3s or the Maxxis Supermaxx. Wondering if anyone has any info on these tires.

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Both of them will technically work. One is a taller sidewall, and the other is a slightly smaller sidewall then what is currently on your bike. Given the choice I'd go for the smaller sidewall.

Thanks Sev,

I have found a couple of decent reviews for the Maxxis tire set. Just looking at my tires, I know that the front will be replaced soon, and figure if I get a good riding season this year, the back will probably need to be replaced by next year. So I might go ahead and bite the bullet and just get a whole new set now. At least that way, I know my wife wont have to mess with them next year when she is riding the bike while I am deployed.

Depends what kind of tire you want, Dunlop suggests their Qualifier if you want another supersport tire for max stick or their D220 if you want a longer life sport touring tire with a good average of stick and life. Like Sev suggested, they suggest the 120/60 front in both cases for your ZZR600.

You can get the 120/65 in the Avon Viper Sport, Bridgestone BT014, Sportec M3, Supermaxx, or Michelin Pilot Power. All good supersports in the 120/65 size, but nothing wrong with the 120/60s either.
