1991 Honda Nighthawk 750 pipes

hey i just found this forum. i just bought this bike and i was wondering how i could make it a little louder. i love the look of this bike it is just a little to quite for me. i want to keep the 2 pipes and that style. i was wondering if any one has ever tried to remove the baffles and if so how would you do it because they are riveted in and then if i did that what jet sizes should i do. i have no problem jetting it my self just give me a idea of where to start thanks guys

If you want it to be louder, punch a couple of holes in the exhaust.

In the end, around the existing exits. Not in the sides.

ic ic ok lol how much louder would that make it and how big of holes should i drill. and one more question if i dont like the way it sounds how do i go back do i just ill the small holes in with weld or what

Do or do not.... there is no 'back'.
Unless you find replacement mufflers with only original holes in 'em.....

Try drilling out the pop rivets and removing the insides of the muffler. There should be a series of cones that you could cut off one at a time. Reassemble with sheetmetal screws and start the bike. Is it anoy...loud enough now. If not disassemble, cut off another cone and try again. As BuzZz said there is no going back once you've cut them.

Go to "Modifications" then to the "Tim Hodge Exhaust Mod"
Read the whole thing.
Also check out the "CArb Needle Washer Mod"
These mods should give you what you want without completely destroying the exhaust system.
