My riding pants are uncomfrotable

So my riding pants are uncomfrotable but I like them.

I got the tall pants because I have long legs. However my torso is rather short so the waste band dug in right under my ribs and my legs felt like they kept catching. I almost fell off the first time I got my feet to the pegs. I kinda have to hop them both up and catch on, and all the padding keeps me a bit further away from the tank then I used to be.

In general I am rather uncomfortable. Once settled the only issue is the waistband digging into my poor body. Ugh.

I'm praying they break in. Even if they don't I'm still wearing them.

Having a weird body size sucks. I really enjoy the padding and protection they give me. But boy they need to break in some when it comes to lifting my leg over the bike and my knees up to the pegs.

I accidentally kicked choccy in the sensitive areas. Whoops. Then I felt bad an uncomfortable.

Perhaps I'm just not used to being so layered. I have on jeans and the pants with their liner in. These nights are still getting very cool.

Try folding the waisband down a turn. Not so much that you cant get the zipper on the back zipped to the jacket, but enough that the waistband is down a few inches from where it was.

I bought my riding pants intentionally big to avoid being uncomfortable. They look like clown pants when my jacket is off, but they don't stress me on the bike.

How straight do you keep your back when you ride? If you are slouching around the waist (which is pretty typical, especially on a cruiser) you will be forcing your stomach out more than normal. Try keeping your back straight and see if that helps any - otherwise, you might sell your pants on ebay and go up a size.

I don't slouch I lean forward with a straight back. I don't slouch. I've been practicing on my 'hovering' over my tank with no weight at all on the hands. My abs are quite tired.

It turns out that my riding pants and my jeans are bundling at the same spot on my tummy. I don't have a very long tummy for all that material to fight over.

I wore them without the liner and it was 100% improvement. The liner has a clip to anchor it to the pants about the knee. That was where I was binding. So the liner should be fine as long as I don't connect it at the knee.

Now they feel wonderful. A bit different at the knee and my balance still feels a little off. I just need to lose more weight and never eat before riding and the waistbands should stop having such a hefty war at my midsection.

Ahh

*beep*ing pants! When I layer I make sure the things I wear to layer all have various waist heights so they don't all sit at the same level on my waist. And since you've mentioned it, I've found dropping a little fluff around the midsection has made my clothing waistlines sit more comfortably....so, as long as I'm in shape, my clothes fit great! :|
