I got a ticket for riding without a licensed driver

I need to ride, so I wanted to get my license ASAP, I signed up for the MSF class tommorow. They say they will mail me this card to take to the DMV in 4 weeks to get my full license.
Do you think I can get it sooner if I call and ask them to make an exception and send it ASAP? If i got stopped again and showed them the MSF class printout or receipt, would it get me out of another ticket?
Why do I need it soon? I have no car and the bike is my only transportation. Plus, I am impatient.
Thanks!

Umm. Nope. They'll probably laugh at you, but it's worth calling, I suppose.

Nope. But what WILL happen is that the officer will probably rip your MSF certificate in pieces, meaning that you'll have no proof that you took the class in case that card never comes in the mail.
So. What did you do for transportation BEFORE you took the MSF? Consider this: If you happen to cross that officer's path again before you get your little card, do you think he'll resist the urge to pull you over AGAIN and write you ANOTHER ticket?
Go back to riding the bus.

Yeah, what caused you to gain the attention of a lawman? Last I heard, they didn't have Xray vision to see into our wallets for ID and DL.
At this point, you're better off just stopping where you are and not digging yourself into any kind of deeper hole. Just pay the ticket or whatever and forget about it. I wouldn't start an issue over a license now. Our MSF instructors specifically told us after we passed our class that we are NOT licensed until we have our DL in hand with that endorsement. And if you go do something stupid and are pulled overwithout that license, that little BRC certificate means
nothing.

Do they not have learners permits where you live?

Where I live you only need a permit to ride! I had to take a 20 question written test, and I was ready to ride legally, and alone if I wanted...scary huh.

They do have learner's permits and I have one. I paid the fine.
The reason they stopped me was because they said "They are checking people for licenses because they want to make sure they have them. There have been many accidents lately".

but most likely with the restrictions of no passengers and no riding at night. I crashed at night and so the Sheriff threatened to ticket me, but he didn't.

Nah. It was the same here with me. Just couldn't ride at night or on the super slab.

I don't get it. Were you driving in violation of your permit? Like at night or with a passenger or on the highway ...
