My weakness

So I've done it yet again. I've bought another Honda that was less than mint and began slipping it money under the garage door at night. If it is anything like the last one it will end up leaving my garage in far better shape than when I found her. I'm kind of the motorcycle version of animal rescue  (not that I don't ride 'em hard though....) And here is the new piece in all of it's fresh from back-order to Japan glory:

Slowly the Silver Scud rescued from ebay is getting her shine back!

could you make it a habit of posting before/after shots of your projects? I find that sort of thing interesting.

Just imagine the same piece with a dime sized hole through it..... It's funny that you should bring this thread up after nearly a full year: I just ordered a new front fender for it yesterday. The small rock chip I started out with turned in to 2 inches of peeled paint after riding through a rainstorm (for several hours).

From the land of sinking way too much money in to an old bike that I will never get back

Here I go again:

Why? The old parts were scratched up pretty well from the previous owner. I had managed to buff most of it out but the evidence was still there. Then I heard that Honda was going to stop supplying the parts. I had to make a decision, whether to keep the bike or move on to something newer. I pondered. I love the V-Four. The newer VFRs just don't do it for me in the same way (especially the 1200). It's not a classic yet but destined to be one (IMO). What the hell, it's only money!

Ah, there are those parts! Glad you got them and hopefully they fit and match the other parts. I bet you will have the newest looking old VFR on the road!
