OK i have a question. I want you guys to see if you guys can diagnose my problem here. My bike does not like to idle if i don't give it a bit of gas. Ive tried adjusting the idle but it seems impossible as i turn it the slightest bit and it will jump to around 3k rpm, then i turn it back the slightest bit and again jumps back down to about 1k and then will die without a bit of throttle being applied. The one other problem is the midrange the bike just seem to really bog down in the mid range rpm's. Down low it's pretty nice and even and then if i give it lots of gas it will bog on the mid rpm's then shoot up all the way into the high rpm's with no problem. I think this is also related to the mid range rpm problem but in say 4th or 5th gear, i literally cant red line the bike because in those higher gear it will not make it past the mid range rpms. If anyones got any ideas I'm wide open. I'll be taking it in for a tune up sooner than later but id like to have some idea of what I'm bringing it to the mechanic for.

I think you need to clean, adjust, and sync your carbs.

Thanks for the reply, I had narrowed it down to two things pretty much which is either it needs a valve adjustment or the carbs need to be cleaned and synced as you said. Thanks for the input.

I would do both! Tight valves will give you that problem and dirty carbs.Try some seafoam spray called deep creep directly into the fuel line and fill up the bowls with it then go for a good ride and see if that help.you might just get lucky.
