Ken Beach is a good friend of mine who has just opened up a new bike shop, "Old Vintage Cranks", in the town of Hillsburgh. Due to a sudden increase in business, he is now looking for a quality person to assist with the growing workload. This is a part-time position with varied hours and is well suited for a retired or semi-retired motorcycle mechanic, but he will consider applications from all experienced and enthusiastic bike nuts. A positive attitude and a genuine enthusiasm for motorcycles is a must!
Old Vintage Cranks is an authorized Ural motorcycles, Kymco scooters and Twist 'N Go scooters dealer in addition to being a Canadian parts/service depot for old and obsolete Soviet-era motorcycles. While you don't need to be experienced in those brands you MUST know your way around motorcycles in general and enjoy dealing with the public. Duties will include assisting with the uncrating and setup of new motorcycles and scooters, helping with the management of parts inventory and stocking, fielding telephone calls and walk-in requests from existing and potential customers, servicing and maintaining customer bikes and so on. Machinist and welding skills would be a huge bonus!
If you or anyone you know might be interested in this opportunity, please give Ken a call any time at 519-856-2822.
