pink slip troubles...

I bought a bike exactly like mt bike to take the engine out of, but it turned out i could fix my original bike without having to steal the engine out of bike b. Long story short i am trying to sell bike B, I have the pink slip that is still blank on the buyers signature but I believe the guy I bought the bike from has sent in the top portion to the dmv. I have someone who wants to buy bike B but he is unsure of if the sale will go through if both portions don't match.
Has anyone had this problem and what did you do to fix it?

Why don't you go complete the sale to you, then transact the sale to the new buyer.
