I got my permit, and I'm waiting to register for the closest MSF course.
However, even though I dont have a bike, I still have a small problem.
Im a minor, so even if I complete the msf course, will that mean I stil lcant get my lisesnse? I know if you complete it, you can get your license right then and there, but I'm not sure if it applies to minors.
The dude at the DMV said that I needed to have another lisensed biker following me at all times. This is so impractical and frustrating.. for one, I don't know any other bikers, and 2, how am I supposed to practice if I can't find one?

i think kentucky has this same law. I'm 23 and i just took a 20 question test for my permit and have to wait 1 month to get a license. I'm taking the MSF course so no road test for me.Tower18CHI wrote:Check your local laws. In Illinois, even if you completed the MSF course, anyone under 18 still has to take the riding test at the DMV. 18+ can use the MSF certificate.
But check your laws. Only way to be sure.
