2007 c50 bouelvard has problems at 50-65 mph 4th or 5th gear

#1 Unread post by bouelvardc50 »

I have a new c50 bouelvard (2007).The bike is almost impoossible to ride between 50-65 mph.4th to low 5th to high. When bike gets warm engine has power at rev,no power to pull at starts,or highway speeds.bike only has 480 miles ... Ihave my bike at he dealer right now he tells me that it's normal . the bike needs to be at 65+ to be in fifth gear no lug...BUT MY QUESTION IS THAT most places I ride are 45-60 . also called 4 other dealers they said same thing but this is terrible trying to ride like this!!!!!!!!!I'm asking if anyone else has this problem or are dealers full of it . my manual says should be rideable at 31 mph in 5th>>>

"Hello, Mr Dealer? I have a new 2007 and a warranty issue."

You paid for that warranty, use it.

I'm thinking the dealers are filling you full. I have an 06 c50 and it has plenty of power. I've never noticed any lack of power in any part of the power band.

Don't take the answer that this is normal. I would keep pushing until someone helps you out.

Good Luck
