how miles does it take to breakin a c50 bouelvard ??

I was told not to ripp onthe bike till 1500 mile breakin by dealer..man thats alot of miles at half throttle......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know the break-in specs for the C50 - 1500 miles sounds like a lot - but you want to be careful about how you stress the engine before it's first oil change. There can be small bits of metal in that oil from the break-in. If you google on this topic, you'll find a lot of opinion, and not necessarily a consensus. Let's just say that if you're going to stress the engine, do it mindfully as part of the break-in process and not casually. If you don't know how to do that, it's safer to stick to the manufacturer's instructions.
We traded in a Marauder 800 (essentially the same engine as the C50) last year with 4,000 miles on it -- that engine was just starting to loosen up and get more revvy at 4K miles. It can take a while for an engine to "mature"

What does your owners manual say?
I was once told by a dealer that paying $1000 over MSRP was actually a great deal

they are [ broke in @ factory } vary throttle postion 1st 600 miles, is what we recommend@ my honda / suzuki dealership
