Hello, I'm new to the site, and to motorbikes, somewhat. I've ridden a couple, but not more than two miles.
I have a bike overed to me for free. Nothing in this world is free. The first part i need help with is figuring out what model and how many CC's this bike is. It is a 1981 Yamaha cruiser. It looks all original, with 36k on it. The engine is an inline 4 with Y1CS on the crank case. It also is a DOHC head. 4 carbs. The last thing that threw me is that it is chain drive. All the 81 4cyl bikes i looked at were shaft drive. The VIN is:
JY5K5004 CA020310 YKS.

The second part i will need help with is finding parts for it. It was last regestard in 1992. But kept in a shed sence then, uncovered ofcourse.
I have no problem reduing paint, crome, engine, and electrical work, but i need to know what model it is and if i can get a service manual for it.

Thank you for your time, My friend Cainman reccomended this site, but i don't now if he is a member.

That's a good one. Your description pretty much matches the XJ650 or XJ750 series (Maxims and Secas), but that chain drive doesn't fit. Around '81 &'82, all of the XJ bikes came with shaft drive (at least here in the U.S.).

Hold everything. I just remembered that Yamaha offered the XJ in a 550 cc model in the early 80s, as well. That one had a chain drive and would seem to be the only match. Google "yamaha xj550" and see what you get.

Here's a pic of the Maxim (cruiserish version) :
