Ninja600 loosing power/ fouling out??

I posted this a while ago and had a lot of replies (thank you everyone) and it turns it out it was the Igniter box.. or the CDI Box and this makes sense because I had went to work one day and the guy I bought if from said it didnt run to well in the rain, well thats why. The box looks like it has been burnt so I'm assuming it fried? But the guy giving us a new one is like its gonna be around 20 dollars or 400 for a new one.. and he said the kawi's are notorious for having these CDI boxes go bad.. is there anyway i can wrap this box in something to keep it from getting wet if I do get caught in the rain?
