Got a new bike :7/10/07 PICS PICS

#1 Unread post by NJ04SS »

Well me and my father were on the way home from my Grandmother's house, we saw a bike for sale. Pulled over and its a Rebel. Checked it out, knocked on the door.

After a few minutes of talking, we found it that it was a 2001 Rebel, 700 original miles on it, adult female rode, the only reason they are selling is because they are moving as per a job placement to Florida. So they wanted to sell, they had $1850 obo, the bike was in sound condition, started right up, and in such amazing condition. The owner said they drove it a few times a month even around the block to run it, did the regular maintence ect, clean title, had the book, keys ect.

Turned around, we brought it home for $1400.00 Will post pics when I can find my digital cam. Beautiful bike, my dad drove it home, ran excellent. Starts on a dime! I think we got a good deal :D Bike looks like NEW, when I mean mint, it was garaged kept climate control, can't beat it!

Sounds like you got sweet deal. The rebel is a great starter bike. Id highly recommend taking an MSF course...if you havent taken it already. Where in jersey are you?

Cool I am in essex. Good luck man and take it easy until you get the hang of things. You might have the strong urge to go out on the busy main streets right away, but you may want to cruise around side streets for a bit and get the feel of the bike first. Just remember everything from MSF and practice the manuvers.
