So I went on my first big road trip on the bike. I left from Winter Park Colorado and road up into Wyoming and then into the black hills. From there I rode across 90 and through the badlands. After a good nights rest I rode across Minnesota and Wisconsin. I found some pretty good back roads from I-90 to Appleton Wisconsin. Then another nights sleep and a really nice ride up through the upper penninsula of Michigan. I met up with my dad and brother in law up in St. Ignace and rode back roads down to my home town of Muskegon Michigan. On the way home I just rode across I-80 to Des Moines one day and then the rest of the way home the next. I had a great time and only had a few scary incidents. One time a semi tire blew right next to me and I got hit right in the front of the helmet (thank god for full face helmets) and another time a girl tried to take me out. Over all it was a really fun trip and I am hooked. I don't want to drive my car any more than I absolutely have to! I will figure out how to post pics on here soon and get some pics of the bike and some of the scenery along the way!

Good for you.
The first road trip is the one that you'll remember forever.

My first was a weekend trip from Kansas City to Fort Collins for a college reunion. At the last minute I ditched the car and took the bike. Rain, fog, bone-chilling cold. It was grand.

I am sure I will never forget it. I was really lucky weather wise. I never even saw a drop of rain!

I have yet to do more than a 500 mile trip and NOT get rained on.
