Ninja 250 starting problems

New biker here and at a loss. I'm hoping someone can help. So I have a new Ninja 250 and started riding for a few months but life got crazy as it does and I let it sit for a month+. Now when I try to start it - the bike starts to turn but doesn't run. UNLESS the choke is all the way open. This will get it to start but the engine cuts out on me as soon as I try to close the choke or open the throttle. Any ideas on what I'm missing here. Any help would be greatly appreciated -
Thanks

Did you let it warm up? My g/f's ninja needs to arm up for a minute before it likes taking the choke off- unless it's the middle of a very hot day. It's ok to let it sit running for a minute to let it warm up. Do that before trying to add throttle and turn the choke off.
If that works, then add a bit of seafoam to your next tank.
If not, make sure the battery is charged, the gas isn't bad and that you have enough of it.

Thanks man - I don't know if needs to warm up - it's been 90 for the last few days and since I can get it going I doubt its the battery, but bad gas could be the problem

If it's really a "new" Ninja, I'd let the dealer try and figure it out under warranty. If it's 90 degrees out, you shouldn't need much choke at all and the bike should warm up very quickly.
Gas doesn't usually go bad if you let it sit for a month or so.

so where are the air/fuel mixture adjustment on this bike??
i have the same issue, but w/ original carbs and i don't want to change the jets unless i have to. just cleaned them out well, so its not that. i think the last owner screwed with the adjustments
it'll start, idle, rev with the choke on full, have to have throttle completely open to idle w/o choke.
any ideas?
