We just wanted to invite all who are down in the Hamilton, Ontario area to a Poker Run:
First Annual Ride the United Way Poker Run
On September 15, 2007, hundreds of riders from all walks of life, riding all types of motorcycles will be getting together in support of the United Way of Burlington & Greater Hamilton. Riders and their passengers will set out on a breathtaking tour of Hamilton and Burlington’s most scenic areas. Starting at the Stoney Creek Dairy Bar, the 150 km route includes a panoramic view of the city along the escarpment and winds its way through the hills and curves of Binbrook, Caledonia and Dundas Valley.
Riders will make three stops along the way, where they will receive their poker cards. Once they get to the end of the ride, at the United Way Kick-off Event on Brant Street in Burlington, the best and worst poker hands will be rewarded with some fantastic prizes.
The Grand Prize for this inaugural ride is a 42” Plasma TV, and will go to the rider or passenger with the best poker hand. Also up for grabs is a Portable Hot Tub, a Laptop Computer and a host of great Door Prizes. The first 500 participants will receive a Free Gift Kit, with some great gift certificates, as well as a drink ticket and a food ticket to be enjoyed at Frankie’s Bar & Grill.
Registration fees are $25 for riders, which will be waived with $100 or more in pledges, and $10 for passengers which will also be waived with pledges totalling at least $50. All proceeds go directly to the United Way of Burlington & Greater Hamilton.
