is there a way to change the plugs on a 93 nighthawk 750 without removing the gas tank?
the clymer manual says to remove the tank first and i'm not sure i have enough wrench savy to do it without screwing it up.

If you have the factory tool kit with the spark plug socket in it, what I've done is went about bought a wratcheting wrench (Gearwrench) in 12mm. This fits over the socket end of the tool and allows you a little more room to work. One thing I did find out is that you need to go ahead and pony up the extra funds for the 5 degree sweep ones because it's pretty tight in there and the standard sweep ones just BARELY have enough room to actually work the ratchet mechanism. However you do it, let the engine cool off before you attempt, otherwise your hands will not be your friends.

If you have a buddy to help hold up the tank, then you won't have to remove the gas feed lines from the pet stick, makes it a lot easier if you don't feel confident doing so. Otherwise it is real easy to remove the tank.On my nighthawk it is just one bolt under the seat. Hopefully you have the tool kit with the sparkplug tool( thin walled) otherwise you'll have to get one. No room for thick walled socket. Go for it.

Thats the petcock not the pet carrot.
