Best V-Twin for power without vibration?
Best V-Twin for power without vibration?
What's the best V-Twin to get if you want a fair size (900+) but without any vibration?

Kiwi if you have big bucks

Also saw a new ad for the 2cyl 350 Chevy based bike, and they are still in business. I don't know their new name but first known as Harley Nostalgia, had to change because of trademark from the motor company.

You don't mean "Super-Vee", do you? They haven't updated their website since 2002: http://www.supervee.com/index.htmlslimcolo wrote:Also saw a new ad for the 2cyl 350 Chevy based bike, and they are still in business. Looks nice in the close-ups. Clearly they put $60K into the detail. But the wide shot:slimcolo wrote:Kiwi if you have big bucks

Yikes.
Frankenbike.
Looks a little like what the Teutels would do for the opening of an Indian store.
Here's a 1946 original:

and a 1950:

There's something about the frame on the Kiwi that makes it look biker-build-offish. Maybe it's just the angle.
And while I could swing $60K, I'm not the kind of person who needs a $60K bike to feel like I'm blingin'. I'm looking at $10K or so, here, and have time to be choosy.

Is there a V-twin that doesn't have any vibration? I would think not, based on the whole "V" part. But, I couldn't state it as a fact.blair wrote:...without any vibration?
Now if you are looking at any sort of twin engine (parallel, opposed) there are a few with very little vibration.

That's the thing. I want the look, but my 600 could homogenize DNA samples. So when I do get my 900 or 1100 or somesuch, minimizing the buzz is a key feature. And it still has to look cool, of course.
There are certain V-angles and distributions of rotating/oscillating mass that can lower the vibration. I've read about them way back. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with stock cruisers that were smooth.

Gummiente they are using different name, and address but same pictures in ad as when Super Vee. I think I saw it in Classic Cycle Trader.
Blair I've only seen KIWI motor in person. Bikes have been in photos.

I did a Google search but couldn't find anything. If you happen to see the ad again, could you let me know what their address is? I'm curious to see how they've progressed with their design.slimcolo wrote:Gummiente they are using different name, and address but same pictures in ad as when Super Vee.
