Anyone have opinions of the TANK Vision R3 250cc Bike?

#1 Unread post by twthomas »

I figure that at least some people are laughing right now but I don't really care, I am looking for some honest unbiased insight. Please no brand-fans ranting.

I REALLY like the feel of this bike and I am thinking of getting one for my first bike. I found one used with 100 miles on it for $2000. Better than $3100 for a rebel... or is it?

I have no idea what the maintenance record is on this bike because its so new.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Opinions?

Thanks!

My TANK scooter experience:

My buddy and I were on one side of the demo bike, looking at it and some other bikes lined up in the showroom. The salesman drops the scooter off its centerstand to let the GF sit on it and one of the bolts holding the centerstand on the bike falls off.

I'd avoid it. A quick Google search doesn't yield anything about TANK. The engine is apparently produced by the "Kytmex Corporation", which I can't find anything about. It's probably produced in Mexico, judging by the name. I'd rather buy an older bike from a reputable manufacturer if it were my money. It's your money, do what you want.

Save the money and the hassle and get a used bike from a known manufacturer.
