This really can't be a serious question, surely. I mean, seriously, why would anyone ever want to do that

Okay. When you squeeze the clutch, you disengage power to the engine... the bike SLOWS DOWN!!Slick_R6 wrote:lets say i am going 30mph and would like to rev up the engine so that it is loud but it does not make the bike go any faster... i usually hold the clutch down when i do it but after i let the clutch out the bike jumps... i know i am doing it wrong and i need some guidance so i dont screw up the clutch
After you rev the engine, you've got to EEEEEEase out the lever again, to keep the bike from "jumping" (You should have learned this in the BRC, right?) When you let out the clutch lever, you should have downshifted to match engine speed to your new road speed. Oh, wait, bet you didn't take the Basic Riders Course, huh?
I'm trying to figure out why you'd want to do this in the first place. Just a bit of idiot showmanship, not serious riding skill, that's for sure.

Don't bother letting out the clutch easy.
Clutch in and rev it up good so your buddies can hear it. Then, just dump the clutch without letting off the throttle. That's the easiest way to get going again.
