Hey guys,

do you ride in-between traffic when it's bumper to bumper? I haven't but I see a lot of people doing it.

It is explicitly legal in California and not explicitly legal anywhere else in the US. It is explicitly illegal in many places.

The AMA has an interesting site about it. I don't know that I'd try it just because the AMA says it isn't illegal (or legal, either) as "but a web site told me it wasn't against the law" probably isn't the best idea.

Anthony-
From the Massachusetts state motorcycle manual:
  • It is recommended that motorcycle riders avoid sharing lanes
with other vehicles. All motor vehicles are permitted to use the
full lane of travel to ensure safe operation. Motorcycle riders
are prohibited from riding alongside motor vehicles within a
    marked travel lane.

Surely common sense would suggest it's not legal... :|

Well it's legal in california. And I didn't ask if it's legal. I asked if anyone does it.

Even if it were legal in Ohio, I'm just not comfortable with the amount of trust I would have to have that cage drivers aren't going to mess things up for me. If traffic gets too congested and just isn't moving along well enough for me (especially on super hot days), I pick a different route and get moving.

Cheers,
