Typically, when I ride my spirit 750, I wear my white full face helmet, my armored jacket, padded riding gloves, jeans and boots.
Today I wore my old half helmet because it was so damn hot. I still wore my jacket ( mesh) but good lord did I want to take it off. It was TOOOOOO HOT ( it's black) LOL.
Anyway, I need help convincing me not to be so worried about sweating and stay safety oriented.
HELP!

I've seen worse. There's a site that has a bunch of dead people and pictures like that. Though in a few of the dead people's cases, no amount of gear was going to keep them out of the grill of that 18 wheeler.
Ride smart and you most likely won't need the gear. Wear it just in case though.

i saw this one dead dude who's head and helmet was stuck in the rear corner of an 18 wheeler truck ( the rest of him was just dragging behind)- i mean, how the "fudge" does that happen? riding fast behind a truck? is it possible for that to happen if you ride smart?
i mean, there's always "exceptional people" out there. i try to scan for them as much as possible...ugh
it's so hoooottt!!!!
LOL

Yeah, the site that Ninja Geoff is referring to is
http://www.ride2die.com
Anyway, trust me, wear your gear, after some SERIOUS roadrash on mountain bikes, I wouldn't be caught without it on a streetbike, (and I'm moving to Phoenix in the fall...)

What I meant by that was not to sell your bike!

What I meant is that if you ride safely and wear your gear, most of that will never happen. Most of those guys were riding unsafely and/or without gear... Sorry!
