Jean Riding Pants

#1 Unread post by MAKER »

Any body got a favorite? I've looked at some rocket ones, icon, etc...

They all seem to offer abrasion resistance but not much in the way of impact...

And body know of any jean riding pants with armor?

Draggins can use kneepads. Ours came with free sets. They velcro on (which I'm not a fan of).

I also have theses. They are from down under so shipping takes awhile if in the U.S. Also ask your bank if they allow international transactions on your credit/debit card, some do some do not due to security. They do not take checks.

The product was good but the velcro impact pads do not stay in place, so that saftey feature is almost usless. Pants still have some additional sewed in padding (rear area, side of thigh's and upper/lower area of knees) for scraping the pavement with is good and overall quality seems good.

funny you say about the knee pads not staying in, because really that would be the only reason i would buy those jeans- they look kinda dopey..LOL

all things considered, there are some nice icon ones and shift as well- that look much nicer...and if they all have the same kevlar esque butt and knees, then i should just get the ones i will actually wear-

won't help if i won't wear em because they make me stoopid..lol

seriously, those draggins look like mom jeans!

I have a pair of Teknic Warrior jeans that are pretty snazzy looking. No armor, but Kevlar in the knees and butt.

That's why you don't order from the US site. I ordered, like flw, from the Australian Draggin site. It does take a little time, but they have a helluva lot more selection and style than the US site. Also when I was shopping back in April, the Canadian Draggin site was just getting rolling and they had the same products as the Aussie site. My real complaint and the reason I did not order from them is that they did not have online ordering (at the time???). Check back with them to find out and they may be more a reasonable shipping option than the Aussie site.

Are those comfortable for everyday wear in any type of weather? Basically, are they just really tough jeans, or are they classified only as safety equipment? I wouldn't want to wear them if I couldn't wear them everywhere.

I have a pair of Teknic jeans that look just like the picture above.

They're just jeans with a soft fabric Kevlar lining at the knees and butt. You wear them just like normal jeans and they feel just like normal jeans.
